A private, spacious and bright walk-out basement 1 bedroom suite at the base of Mount Seymour and near Deep Cove in beautiful North Vancouver. Perfect for a single traveller or a couple. Wifi, heat, parking, laundry all included, A fully stocked kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine, with full set of utensils and cutlery. The suite is approximately 600 square feet with an additional 450 square feet of enclosed outdoor area featuring a covered, lit patio, small gas BBQ.

The Space:
The first thing you will notice is how much natural light there is in most of the space, with 3 huge windows lining the walls of the living and bedroom spaces. This is not your usual basement suite!

The large bedroom has a queen bed, black-out blinds, a small cabinet for folded clothes and a work chair and large desk with a stand-up lift feature. An optional double pull out sofa is in the living room space if traveling with older kids or 3rd person, extra pillows, mattress pad and duvet are available. Note this sofa bed is a spring frame pull out and is truly a double size - while 2 adults could sleep there- it’s most comfortable size wise for a single adult or 2 kids. The living room space has a closet for hanging items and shoes. A dining table with 2 chairs with additional folding chairs available if requested. A massive, comfy couch in front of a gas fireplace and a 50” TV that has streaming app options - (note: requires your own log in.) The yellow arm chair in listing pictures is no longer in the suite.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with set of pots, pans, cutlery, for any cooking or baking you wished to do. A full size fridge, dishwasher, full size oven/ stove, toaster and microwave, coffee station are all provided. The bathroom has a full tub and shower combo.

We have a brand new (2023) all-in-one ventless washer dryer laundry unit in suite, located in kitchen.

Outdoor space: You will also have use of a large covered outdoor patio area with tons of comfy seating. This is fenced in which is great for those travelling with dogs. Note, while we leave this space for you to use, it is partially visible to the rest of our yard, which is not shared space.

The Location:
We are near the base of Mount Seymour & Deep Cove in the Windsor Park neighbourhood, in North Vancouver. Walking (or riding) distance to the world famous downhill biking trails on Mount Seymour and the Fisherman’s Trail on the Seymour River. A 5 minute drive gets you to picturesque Deep Cove and Cates Park beach. A 12 minute (14km) drive to the top of the Mount Seymour ski & hiking area. There is a ski shuttle bus for skiing in the winter. There are two 18 hole golf courses within 2 km and a driving range 0.5 km away.

Transit:
Downtown Vancouver is only a 20 minute drive and 45 minutes by bus (direct bus is available at peak times). There is a bus stop 5 meters from our front yard which can take you to Indian River area or Phibb’s Exchange or a daytime direct-to-downtown express bus stop 200m away on Mt Seymour Parkway. Lonsdale Quay and the Seabus is 12 minutes drive. We do recommend a car for convenience as we are quiet suburban area but buses are very reliable during daytime hours.

Parking:
Free and safe street parking for your car is directly out front, always ample space on both sides of street, no time restrictions.

About the Hosts & what to expect while staying with us:
Welcome to our home! We are a young family of 5 that lives upstairs, with 3 active children under 10 and 2 equally enthusiastic dogs, so while we strive to be ultra quiet for our guests, occasional sibling rivalry, dogs & kids playing will be heard and please note we do work from home during the day, but have a separate office space so noise is not an issue for shift workers. Our much loved little old wooden house is from 1956, so comes with personality, quirky charm with a side of small creaks and living noises as people & dogs move around upstairs. Everyone is in bed before 8pm, so nights out here are blissfully quiet early.

Our goal is to provide an opportunity for guests to share our comfortable, clean, safe and happy space for you to enjoy as much as we do!
