Langley is a township municipality in the Fraser Valley region of British Columbia, Canada. While it's not a major city, it sits within a convenient distance to Vancouver, the largest city in the province. Langley is part of the Lower Mainland area, along with other communities like Surrey and Richmond.
By car, Langley is only about a 45-minute drive from Vancouver, and offers easy access to major highways connecting to destinations like Seattle, Washington (around 3 hours away) and Portland, Oregon (approximately 6-8 hours by car).
Langley benefits from a moderate climate throughout the year. Summers are typically warm and dry, with highs ranging from the mid-teens to low 20s (°C). Winters are cool and wet, with occasional flurries. Freezing temperatures are uncommon.
Langley's walkability varies depending on the area. The walkable areas of Langley City and Downtown Langley offer cafes, shops, and restaurants within easy reach. Langley offers a growing network of bike paths, making cycling a convenient option for getting around.
Public transit connects Langley to surrounding areas, but within Langley itself, buses may have limited frequencies. Ridesharing services like Uber and Lyft are also available. For maximum flexibility, renting a car is recommended, especially if you plan on exploring the wineries or more rural areas.
Langley offers a balance between suburban life and a growing selection of restaurants and shops. It won't overwhelm you with the vast options of a major city, but you will find a variety of dining experiences, from casual cafes and familiar chains to unique local spots.
There are also plenty of shops to explore, ranging from national retailers to independent boutiques. While Langley leans suburban overall, it caters to a growing population with diverse tastes.
Langley and its surrounding area provides the ideal climate and fertile land required for vineyards to thrive. Wine enthusiasts often seek out wineries like Chaberton Estate Winery, known for its Pinot Noir and beautiful setting, or Township 7 Vineyards & Winery. Backyard Vineyards offers a relaxed atmosphere to savor exceptional BC VQA wines.
Langley's craft breweries offer a range of flavors. Sample lagers and IPAs at Five Roads Brewing Co., or enjoy Camp Beer Co.'s focus on fresh local ingredients. Farm Country Brewing has a family-friendly atmosphere and features house-made beers, ciders, and also a restaurant.
Langley caters to outdoor enthusiasts with a variety of activities. Hikers can explore trails ranging from easy strolls to challenging climbs. Cyclists have paved paths for leisurely rides and off-road options for a more adventurous experience. Langley's waterways offer fishing opportunities for various species, but remember to get the proper permits beforehand.
Stay with family
The apartment was exactly as it showed on the web site. Didn't disappoint. Well equipped and beautifully furnished. Nice views. Location was perfect for me. Everything in walking distance. Stayed for 10 weeks and offered all the comforts of home. Look forward to my stay again this summer. Excellent communication, friendly, and professional. Good follow up."

Stay for work
This is a fantastic suite for short or long term stays. The layout of the unit offers it to be very spacious relative to the sq. footage. It's incredibly clean, quick to jump on the highway, EXTREMELY dog friendly with Bridgman park across the street. I moved up to Vancouver for work and rented this unit as a short term solution while finding long term housing. Couldn't have picked a better place and host to work with than this unit and the group at Vancouver Short Stay!”

Booking for Others
Ease of the booking was great and invoicing processes simple. Seamlessness from the perspective of the staff member who is attending a training program – they have enough to worry about! It is helpful that the staff can communicate directly with VSS for their specific needs, but that invoices can come to a different place for payment.”
